Meet our Staff:
Carolyn Greenberg
Carolyn Greenberg is an experienced teacher and school administrator with Master's degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership. She is a lifelong musician and currently works professionally as a piano accompanist and performer. She is a resident of Saranac Lake, where she is an active member of the Saranac Lake ArtWorks and Historic Saranac Lake.
Rebecca Saltzman
Rebecca Saltzman is the Choral Director at Simsbury High School, where she directs 5 curricular ensembles in addition to an extracurricular Gospel ensemble. She also serves as the head of the Simsbury High School Equity council and is the advisor to the school’s GSA. Additionally, Mrs. Saltzman is an adjunct faculty member at the Hartt School where she teaches their course on school choral programs and supervises the pre-service educator secondary choral teaching lab experience.
Mrs. Saltzman holds a Masters Degree in Choral Music Education from Florida State University and her Bachelors of Music Education from Ithaca College. She is a frequent festival adjudicator, festival conductor, and conference presenter in the tri-state area. She is an active member of both NAFME and ACDA and is currently serving as the ACDA Eastern Division Vocal Jazz and A cappella Repertoire and Resources Chair.
Nathan Bischoff
Nathan Bischoff is a New York native with a BM in music education. He is currently the general/vocal music teacher at Chevy Chase Elementary in Maryland. Nathan is a guitarist and singer and enjoys jamming out by the campfire. He is an Eagle Scout and loves to cook and spend time outdoors!
Abigail Greenberg
Abigail Greenberg is a New York State certified music educator with a BM in Music Education and minor in Disabilities Studies. She is currently the choral music teacher at George Washington Middle School in Ridgewood, New Jersey. She is a pianist and vocalist with experience singing in professional choral ensembles around the world. She loves to paint, play ukulele and be outside!
Alyssa Bernstein
Alyssa Bernstein just graduated from the University of Delaware with a BM in Music Education. She is very passionate about singing and teaching young musicians all there is to know about music! In college, she was very involved in choirs, theatre, and UD's Community Music School. She cannot wait to meet all of the superstars coming to camp this summer and is looking forward to musicking with them!
Mountain Melodies of Saranac Lake is hosted by TrestleStreet music-art-community. TrestleStreet was established in 2019 to serve the community, musicians, and artists of Saranac Lake. Its goal is to provide affordable studio space for local and seasonal artists as well as music lessons, practice, and jams. TrestleStreet is housed at the Whitman Cottage, which throughout its history has been a place to meet the changing needs of the community.
